Affiliate disclosure

Remortgage Lab does not use affiliate links, and it does not take payment to recommend a lender, a broker, a deal, or a calculator result. There is no commission if you click through to a bank, a building society, or an adviser. There is no list of affiliate partners on this site, because there are none.

“No affiliate links” is a statement about how the site is funded and how pages are written. It is not a claim that every company in the mortgage market is being reviewed. We do not rank products. We do not operate a best-buy table. Worked figures elsewhere on the site are labelled EXAMPLE. They are scenarios for arithmetic, not prices from a partner and not an invitation to apply.

What our links are

An affiliate link is a tracked link that pays a publisher for a click or an application. Remortgage Lab has none. No link on the site is tracked for payment, and no lender, broker or comparison site pays Rodway Labs for a visit. Links to public guidance — for example MoneyHelper, GOV.UK, or the FCA’s consumer pages — are citations, and links between Remortgage Lab pages are ordinary navigation.

Ads are not the same thing

Remortgage Lab is funded only by display advertising from Google AdSense, shown only on pages that carry an ad slot. Those ads are advertising, not editorial recommendations and not affiliate endorsements from Remortgage Lab. We do not choose the individual creatives, and we do not accept payment to change a calculator formula so that an advertiser looks cheaper. Ad slots are labelled. They are not placed on the calculator controls.

Advertising consent is collected through our own consent pop-up (Consent, Do not consent or Manage options). No ad script loads until you accept. Rodway Labs does not collect your location and runs no analytics script. Declining does not change the tools. The detail of how ads are labelled is on the advertising disclosure. The cookie categories are on the cookie policy. Neither of those pages is an affiliate programme.

What this means for the calculators

Results are arithmetic on the numbers you type, plus labelled EXAMPLE starters where a page needs a starting point. The order of tools on the calculators hub is by decision stage — fees and early repayment charges before rate-hunting — not by who might pay for a click. There is no “featured lender” and no “sponsored deal” inside a result.

A lower figure on a calculator is not an instruction to switch, and a higher figure is not an instruction to stay. The tools ignore credit scoring, valuation shortfalls and whether a lender will actually offer the rate you entered. That limitation is the same whether or not a page could theoretically carry an ad.

Editorial independence

Guides are written by Rodway Labs for Remortgage Lab. We do not sell guest posts that recommend products, and we do not swap links for coverage. Corrections are welcome via the contact page. A correction about a fee definition or a tax scope note (England and Northern Ireland for stamp duty; Scotland and Wales differ) is not a commercial placement.

Remortgage Lab is not a lender, not a broker, and not FCA-authorised to give mortgage advice. Nothing on this page, and nothing an advert might display, is a mortgage offer from us. If you want a regulated recommendation, that comes from an FCA-authorised adviser, not from an affiliate button this site does not have.

Our position
