Remortgage Lab is a calculator-first website published by Rodway Labs. It explains fees, early repayment charges and worked scenarios in calm UK English, and it lets you change the inputs. It is a reading and arithmetic aid. It is not a lender, not a broker, and not an FCA-authorised adviser. You cannot apply for a mortgage here, and we cannot tell you whether to stay, transfer, or switch.

For corrections, broken calculators, or a general question about how the site works, email hello@remortgagelab.co.uk, or use the form below. Both reach the same inbox. There is no phone line and no mailing list. The form sends your name, email and message to us by email; it doesn't store them on the site or use them for marketing, and it sets no cookies.

What we can help with

  • A calculator result that does not match the method described on that page.
  • A factual error in a guide, a glossary entry, or a date we say content was checked.
  • A broken link, a page that will not load, or an advertising consent message that misbehaves.
  • A question about scope, for example why the stamp duty tool covers England and Northern Ireland only.

Messages are read by Rodway Labs, the publisher of the site. We aim to reply within 5–10 working days. A reply is an acknowledgement of the site issue. It is not mortgage advice, and it is not a comment on a lender’s underwriting.

What we cannot do

We cannot look at your illustration and say which deal to take. We cannot chase a lender, a broker, or a solicitor on your behalf. We cannot predict whether you will be accepted, what valuation you will get, or what your early repayment charge will be. Those answers sit with the firm that holds your account or with an FCA-authorised adviser you choose.

Do not email scans of passports, bank statements, full account numbers, or sort codes. We do not need them to fix a page, and we do not offer a secure channel for them. If a message arrives with that material, we will delete it rather than store a file we should not have.

What the site is for

Use the calculators to put fees and early repayment charges next to a rate before you talk to a lender. Use the guides for the surrounding process: what a product transfer is, how an early repayment charge is usually framed, and what to gather when a fix is ending. EXAMPLE rates on the site are labelled as examples. They are not a quote and not an offer of credit.

Where a page mentions property tax, the stamp duty calculator is for residential SDLT in England and Northern Ireland. Scotland uses LBTT and Wales uses LTT. Those systems are out of scope. A straight remortgage of a home you already own usually does not trigger SDLT at all. That note is not tax advice. Your conveyancer calculates any return.

Policies, not a helpdesk script
